Scope

This policy applies to all products sold through SOTOTA BAZAR, including kitchenware, crockeries, gadgets, and household items delivered within Bangladesh through Cash on Delivery (COD) or tracked shipping.

When Refunds Apply

You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • The product you receive is defective, damaged, or broken upon arrival.
  • The wrong item, model, or color is delivered.
  • The product is missing parts or accessories as described on the website.
  • The product is not delivered within the promised timeframe.
  • The item you receive is substantially different from the description or image on our website.
  • You cancel the order before dispatch (for prepaid orders only).

Eligibility Conditions

To qualify for a refund:

  • You must contact us within 7 calendar days of receiving the item.
  • The product must be unused and returned in its original packaging with all tags, accessories, manuals, and freebies intact.
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order ID, receipt, or tracking number).
  • We reserve the right to inspect the returned item before approving the refund.

Cancellation Before Dispatch (Prepaid Orders Only)

  • If your order has not yet been shipped, you may cancel it for a full refund.
  • Once dispatched, cancellations are not possible, and you’ll need to follow the standard return/refund process.

Return & Refund Process

  1. Contact our support team via email or phone with your order ID, reason for refund, and if applicable, photos/videos of the product.
  2. Our team will review your request and confirm eligibility.
  3. If approved:
    • You’ll be asked to return the product to our return address.
    • If the issue is our fault (defective/wrong/damaged item), we’ll cover the return shipping cost.
    • If not, the return cost will be borne by you.
  4. Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval.
  5. Refunds will be made via the original payment method (for prepaid orders) or through mobile wallet/bank transfer (for COD orders).
  6. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was from our end.

Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds are not applicable if:

  • The customer changes their mind after delivery.
  • The product has been used, damaged, or altered by the customer.
  • Original packaging, tags, or accessories are missing.
  • The product was marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” on the website.
  • There are minor variations in color, design, or texture due to lighting or screen differences.

Warranty & Exchange

Some gadgets may include a manufacturer’s warranty. If applicable, please follow the warranty instructions included with the product.

We may also offer exchanges for eligible cases (wrong model, defect, etc.) depending on stock availability.

COD Orders & Tracking Policy

  • Upon receiving your package, please inspect it in front of the delivery person.
  • If the item is damaged, missing, or incorrect, you can refuse the delivery or report it immediately.
  • If you accept delivery without inspection and later report an issue, we may require proof (photo/video) before processing any refund or exchange.

Legal Compliance & Customer Rights

SOTOTA BAZAR follows the Bangladesh National Consumer Rights Protection Act and e-commerce guidelines issued by the Ministry of Commerce.

If we fail to deliver or process a valid refund, you have the right to file a complaint with the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP).
